FILE - A Rohingya refugee and her child sit outside their shelter at Balukhali refugee camp near Cox's Bazar, in Bangladesh, Nov. 17, 2018.
VOA contributor Greta Van Susteren and a camera crew visited the Kutupalong refugee camp in Bangladesh to hear the stories of murder and rape of the Rohingya Muslims evicted from Myanmar. Although they're now "safe," the refugees were depressed, isolated, prevented from attending school or working, and targeted by extremists and traffickers. As the monsoon season hit, the crew saw a system struggling to keep up with the need for food, supplies and medicine. But they also found stories of hope.
